Women's Soccer Wins Big Over Hampshire

AMHERST, MA – Two athletes would score a hat trick of goals for the University of Maine at Presque Isle Women's Soccer (5-5-2) as the Owls would go on to route Hampshire on Saturday afternoon.

Delia Schreiber (FR, Lisbon, ME) would get UMPI on the board early as she would net a goal in the fourth minute, with an assist coming from Carla Halvorson (SR, Easton, ME).  Halvorson would add her first of the day at the 32nd minute mark, and Schreiber would extend the lead with seconds remaining in the half.  The Owls would hold a 3-0 lead at the break.

Shortly into the second, Jessy Dickison (SO, Houlton, ME) would score her first goal of the season.  The Owls found themselves comfortably ahead at this point.  Two more goals from Halvorson, and a late one from Schreiber would allow UMPI to cruise to a 7-0 victory.
