FARMINGTON, ME - The University of Maine at Presque Isle Owls (1-5-1) dropped a 7-1 decision to the University of Maine at Farmington Beavers (4-4).
The Beavers were relentless in their attack, outshooting the Owls 49-7 in the match. The host team would score six goals before UMPI would finally crack the board, an unassisted goal by Senior Carla Halvorson (Easton, ME). UMF would get contributions from five different players in the scoring column as Bridget Humphrey (SR, Jefferson, ME) and Lydia Roy (SO, Waterville, ME) would lead the effort with two goals apiece.
The Owls will return to Presque Isle an prepare for a homecoming matchup with Unity at 1 PM on Saturday, October 1st. Those team teams met on September 16th and played to a 1-1 draw.
