PRESQUE ISLE, ME – The University of Maine at Presque Isle Owls (1-4-1) dropped a 7-0 match to the University of Maine at Fort Kent (9-0) on Friday evening.
The Bengals netted all seven goals in the first half. The Owls were looking at a four goal deficit before ten minutes had even passed. The talented and relentless UMFK squad used their passing skills to create many great looks on goal. The Bengals scored their final goal in the 34th minute and from that point on played a ball control game, limiting the Owls' chances.
Catherine Bruno (JR, Montreal, QC) would lead the scoring with three goals. Sherifa Sumaila (JR, Tamale, Ghana) would add two goals to the attack.
The Owls are on the road on Sunday as they travel to Farmington to play the U-Maine Farmington Beavers. The game is scheduled for a 2:30 PM start.
