Owls Shutout on the Road

PORTLAND, ME – The Owls weren't able to score on Sunday, and the Southern Maine Community College Seawolves won 4-0.

The two teams fought to a near draw in the first half.  With just seconds left the Seawolves broke the tie, as Kym Hendrix (FR, Waterboro, ME) was able to connect.  SMCC continued the pressure after the break, and in the 49th minute were able to extend the lead.  Zyrah Giustra (JR, New Sharon, ME) added two unassisted goals late to put the game out of reach for the Owls.

Allie Lopez (SO, Kingfield, ME) had twelve saves in the loss.

The Owls return to the road next weekend as they take on Fisher College on Saturday, October 17 at 1 PM.  They will then visit Wheelock College on the 18th.  That game is scheduled to start at 11 AM.
