Sam Nadeau has won the USCAA's Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending September 1, 2014. Nadeau from Madawaska, Maine had a stunning start to her collegiate career for Maine-Presque Isle, posting four goals at the Husson University Classic this past weekend.
Nadeau, a freshman forward playing in her first college game, scored her first goal against Rivier University. That goal, just 20 minutes into her collegiate career would tie the score at 1-1 in a hard-fought contest that the Owls would eventually drop 5-1.
In her next match, the rookie exploded for three goals against Wheelock College in a 4-1 victory. Nadeau would tally the go-ahead goal in the 77th minute of play and tack on another goal with 5 minutes remaining in the match.
Nadeau scored her 4 goals on only 7 shots on goal during the two-game Tournament.
