Mt. Blue High School's Sierra Fay to Play For The Owls

Presque Isle, ME – Sierra Fay, a soon to be 2019 graduate of Mt. Blue High School in Farmington, Maine will be playing basketball for the UMPI Owls in the Fall, Head Coach Gavin Kane recently announced.

Fay played her varsity basketball under Mt. Blue Coach Fred Conlogue and was a key contributor to the Cougars who play in the very tough Kennebec Valley athletic Conference. Mt. Blue finished this past season with a 7-11 record and missed the Class A Tournament by one spot.

"Sierra has been a strong defensive player for us and over the past two seasons has developed into a threat from 3 point land," said Coach Conlogue. "She is a very positive player who always puts the team first and helps her teammates reach their potential."

"We are very pleased that Sierra has chosen UMPI for her Academic and Athletic College Career," stated Owls Head Coach Gavin Kane. "Sierra is a young lady who plays the game with the right mental and physical approach. She is a great teammate and she is a hard worker. Sierra was a freshman on our High School Team when I was coaching at Mt. Blue so I know first-hand what she will bring to the table for us. We look forward to having her as part of our Owls Basketball Family."

Sierra will be in the Exercise Program as her Academic Major at UMPI.
