KATIE PATERNAUDE SELECTED AS SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD WINNER
Washington, D.C. -- Sophomore Katie Paternaude was selected as the UMaine-Presque Isle Sportmanship Award winner at the 2013-14 Great South Athletic Conference winter sports banquet recently.
Selected for her team-first attitude and undying perseverance, while always displaying class and a high character mindset, Paternaude was a tremendously positive force behind the scenes and a great teammate to her fellow Owls.
"Katie, very simply put is a winner, a quality young lady, character-driven, who puts her team first at every twist and turn," said UMPI head coach Doug Carter. "In my twenty years of coaching, I cannot remember a more selfless player, who would sacrifice more for her team than Katie…she's a very, very special leader, friend and teammate."
