South Portland, MAINE --  UMaine-Presque Isle used a near perfect day from point guard Darby Toth to defeat the USCAA #5 ranked Southern Maine Seawolves 72-54, Satuday.

The Owls used attacking offensive sets to draw 13 foul shots in the first half of play.  The Presque Isle players were perfect from the charity stripe to take a 37-27 lead into the lockeroom at half.

The Owls scored the first 7 points of the second half and never looked back to take the convincing road victory against a top-5 ranked USCAA program.

Toth scored 17 and led the pressure defensive battleplan of the Owls.  In 39 minutes of action against intense full court pressure, Toth had 4 assists, 3 steals and no turnovers.

Sophomore Amanda Hotham had 17 points and 9 rebounds.  Senior co-captain added 16, Kristin Thompson had 11 points and Rebecca Campbell tallied 5 points and 10 boards for the Owls.

Maria Veino was the only Seawolve in double-figures with 11.

UMaine-Presque Isle is now 14-5 and play at UMaine-Fort Kent Wednesday.
