Owls Sink Pesky Clippers to Stay Undefeated

Maine-Presque Isle out scored UM-Machias 50-23 in the second half to seal a 75-46 victory Friday evening and stay undefeated at 7-0. 

Double-doubles were the norm for the game as UMPI sophomore Amanda Hotham had a game high 22 points and 10 rebounds and fellow Owl Rebecca Campbell had 13 points and 17 boards.  Tallying a double-double for Machias was Venessa Patterson with 19 points and 11 rebounds.  Freshman Sydney Churchill had 15, including 3 triples for the UMPI cause.

Maine-Presque Isle is now 7-0 and will next play USCAA Powerhouse the Apprentice School Sunday at 11am.  UM-Machias (2-9) will play the Apprentice School, which is playing a northern string of games, at 2pm on Saturday on the campus of Maine-Presque Isle.
