CONNIE LEVESQUE, ATHLETIC ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST RETIRES

Earlier this week, UMPI Athletic Department Administrative Specialist Connie Levesque (pictured with her husband, Eldon, UMPI Director of Business Systems) retired after 30 years of service to the University.

Connie began her 30-year career in the Admissions Department and next served the UMPI academic community for more than a decade before taking her last position within the Athletic Department in 2006.

As Administrative Specialist, Levesque coordinated travel and oversaw the operations of the entire Athletic Program.  The scope of her duties positively impacted every student-athlete who participated in a sport at the University for the past seven years.

Wholly concerned with the overall student-athlete experience, Connie monitored travel, safety concerns, academic awards, fund-raising efforts and all business transactions for the 12 University sponsored intercollegiate sports programs.  Without Connies attention to detail, knowledge and concern for the student-athletes, coaches and the UMPI brand, the athletic programs simply would not have operated in the exceptionally professional manner that they have during her tenure.

As Connie begins her newest stage in life, the coaches, administrators and student-athletes, both past and present, wish her continued happiness and send their sincere appreciation for elevating the Athletic Department's operating procedures and for improving the student-athlete experience through her attention to detail, organized planning and compassionate service to the members of the UMPI community.
