Owls Compete in Vermont

Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Action took the  UMaine Presque Isle Owls to Craftsbury, Vermont for carnival #3.  Originally slated for Stowe, Vermont conditions over the last two weeks had deteriorated the skiing in Stowe and forced organizers to move the event to Craftsbury.

"This past weekend was a step in the right direction for many.  We saw improvement and more consistency from the athletes and I'm certain we will continue to see improvement in the coming races as we begin backing off the training. We kept pressing in this early part of the season, keeping the training load fairly high.  We did this on purpose with the understanding that many will benefit from it long term.  We are really focusing on rest and recovery heading into these next three weeks," said coach Joey Bard.
Results from this past weekend looked like this:
5/10km Skate Interval Start

10/10km Classic Interval Start
Hilary Saucy 45, Lydia Streinz 46, Valentina Annunziata 64
Connor Hyrnuk 53, Ian Marshall 68
