Owls Drop 2 Games in South Carolina on Tuesday

Myrtle Beach, SC - The UMPI Owls Women's Softball Team (1-2) dropped two early season Spring games in Myrtle Beach on Tuesday.

The Owls fell to St. Louis College of Pharmacy of Missouri (2-11) in their 9:30 AM game 9 to 4. The Eutectics scored the game's 1st run in the opening inning when Amber Walsh plated Sydney Vetter with an RBI fielders choice. St. Louis would score 2 more runs in the 3rd inning and add 5 more in the 4th before the Owls would counter with 4 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning. 

Mel Terry (So. Moreno Valley, CA) ripped a double to score Sarah Duncklee (Jr. Kearny, AZ) for the Owls 1st run and Marissa Valdivia-Reagle (So. Seattle, WA) would hit a 3-run inside the Park homerun in Me-Presque Isle's half of the 4th inning.

UMPI's Jordi Legassie (Sr. Presque Isle, ME) went 2 for 4 at the plate. Zoey Caves and Lauren Wright each had 3 hits with Wright connecting for 2 doubles for St. Louis. 

 

Myrtle Beach, NC - In their 2nd game Me-Presque Isle (1-3) dropped a 12 to 0 ballgame to Salem College (6-7).

 

Next up: The Owls play Southern Vermont at 9:30 AM and Principia College 1:30 PM on Wednesday.
