Owls Bounce Back in ACAA Game Two

Canton, NY—The University of Maine at Presque Isle Owls took on SUNY Delhi in the second round of the ACAA Tournament.  The Owls would win in a shutout, 4-0 to advance in the double elimination tournament.

With Sara Packard (ST. Albans, ME) on the mound the Owls held Delhi to only five hits on the game. Packard would earn the win in her complete game as she struck out four batters in her 27 faced.

Freshman Melanee Terry (Moreno Valley, CA) would start the Owls off early with an RBI single up the middle to score Jordi Legassie (Presque Isle, ME) in the first inning.  Legassie would later return the favor with an RBI ground out in the third to bring the lead up to two.

The final run of the game came off of a single by Alexis Allcock (Madison Heights, VA) to bring in the final two runs of the game.

The Owls will now have a rematch against SUNY Canton on Sunday for the right to head to the Championship game.
