Randolph Takes a Pair from UMPI

(LYNCHBURG, VA) --  The Randolph College softball team earned a pair of victories over the University of Maine-Presque Isle on Monday winning game one, 14-1, and taking the nightcap 9-0.  The WildCats (21-7) have won three straight while the Owls remain in search of their first win in 2013 (0-6).  Both games went 5 innings.

In game 2, Randolph's Logan Carter did not give up a hit in moving to 8-5 on the season.  The Owls' Krista Coffin (Jr./Presque Isle, ME) (0-5) started both games for Presque Isle.

Whitney Donovan (So./Ashland, ME) went 2-2 from the plate in game one and broke up Carter's perfect game bid by drawing a walk in game two.

The Owls return to action on Tuesday for another doubleheader.  They will play at Southern Virginia (8-13) at 3pm and 5pm.  You can watch the games live by clicking here.
