Brunswick, ME – The UMPI men's cross country matched the women's team finish in placing 49th overall of the 54 complete teams at the NCAA D3 New England Cross Country Championships held at Bowdoin College on Saturday, fifth best of scoring NAC teams. Four of the five runners set personal records in the 8K race.
Dylan Marrero (Fy. Caribou, ME) led the way with a 29:08, three seconds better than his time from three weeks earlier on the same course, this time on icy and snowy trails. Other PR setters were Hunter Dionne (So. Raymond, ME) (29:39, 1:12PR), Zackary McAllister (Fy. Waterville, ME) (30:26/:59PR), and Joel Soper (Fy. Livermore, ME) (36:14/1:28PR). Individual finishes saw Marrero in 188th of the 384 man field with Dionne in 279th, McAllister in 316th, Nicholas Clark (Fy. Athens, ME) in 366th (34:22), and Soper in 381st place.
Williams College won the meet with a low score of 24 and was followed by Colby College (93) and MIT (107)
