Lyndonville, VT – The UMPI men's Cross Country team met at Northern Vermont Lyndon for the North Atlantic Conference Championship 8K race. UMPI was led by Dylan Marrero (Fy. Caribou, ME), finishing in 10th place and earning 2nd team all-conference. The Owls finished in 7th as a team, SUNY Delhi won the NAC Championship followed by MMA and Thomas College finished 3rd.
Marrero finished with a time of 31:19 with 6:18 mile splits. Hunter Dionne (So. Raymond, ME) was the next UMPI runner to finish with a time of 33:48 and a 27th place finish. Zackary McAllister (Fy. Waterville, ME) finished in 29th place in a time of 34:03. In 54th place, Nicholas Clark (Fy. Athens, ME) finished in a time of 37:53. Joel Soper (Livermore, ME) was the last UMPI runner to finish with a time of 40:20 finishing in 65th place.
The team finished with an average time of 35:28 for all five of the runners. The team will head to the NCAA Regionals in Brunswick, Maine on Saturday the 16th.
