Brunswick, ME – The UMPI Owls Men's Cross Country team traveled down south for the Bowdoin College Invitational. The host Bowdoin along with Bates, Maine Maritime Academy and Roger Williams competed in the 8K meet. Five of the Owls runner finished with personal bests on today's 8K race.
UMPI was led by Dylan Marrero (Fy. Caribou, ME) finishing 14th with a time of 28:15, cutting his time down 37 seconds from his previous best! Hunter Dionne (So. Raymond, ME) was the next Owl to finish, in a time of 30:51 earning a 39th place finish, knocking off 44 seconds off his time from UMPI's previous race and earning a personal best. Zackary McAllister (Fy. Waterville, ME) finished in 42nd place in 31:25, eight seconds better than his previous best.
Sean Miller (Sr. Eureka, CA) finished with a time of 33:35 while Nicholas Clark (Fy. Athens, ME) was right behind him with a time of 33:40 rounding out the UMPI scorers for the meet, giving the team a 138 total. Miller finished with a personal record, 33 seconds better than his previous while Clark also knocked 55 seconds off of his previous record. Joel Soper (Fy. Livermore, ME) finished in a time of 38:46.
The Owls head to the NAC Championships next on Saturday the 2nd at Northern Vermont University-Lyndon.
