Lyndonville, VT – The University of Maine at Presque Isle Owls headed to Lyndon, Vermont today for the North Atlantic Conference Preview Men's Cross Country 6K. Of the eight NAC teams that competed in today's race, the Owls came away with a 6th place finish with 150 points. The tough but beautiful course was led by Maine Maritime who finished with 37 points and the race winner John Hassett. Thomas College followed with 70 points and a second place finish. Husson University received 75 points and 3rd, SUNY Canton came in fourth with 82 points. U-Maine at Farmington finished in 5th, NVU-Lyndon finished in 7th and NVU-Johnson in 8th.
Zackary McAllister (Fy. Waterville, ME) led the Owls with a time of 27:24, earning 24th place. Trever Levesque (Sr. Presque Isle, ME) closely followed with a time of 27:27 and 25th place. Sean Miller (Sr. Eureka, CA) finished in 29th with a time of 27:45. Hunter Dionne (So. Raymond, ME) finished in 31st in 27:51. Nicholas Clark (Fy. Athens, ME) rounded out the Owls scoring with a 41st place finish and a time of 30:13, giving the Owls their 150 points. Joel Soper (Fy. Livermore, ME) finished in 43rd with a 31:21 time.
The Owls will head to Gordon College in Wenham, MA on Saturday the 21st to compete in the Pop Crowell Invitational.
