Three returning veterans will be the core of the 2013 men's University of Maine at Presque Isle cross country team. "Third year runner and senior Philip Boody has had a solid summer of training and will be the consensus leader of this team," indicates 27th year coach Chris Smith. "His limiting injury of last season is not a factor now and he will be a front runner for us".
Sophomore Corey Hebert (Baldwin, Maine, Sacopee Valley High School) is no longer considered a rookie, having had a productive spring club track season and many miles logged over the summer. Jesse Sandstrom (Caribou, Maine, Caribou High School) and Brandon Wade (Sullivan, Maine, Sumner Memorial High School), along with Senior Richard Landry (Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia, Hants East Rural High School), complete the core of experienced runners.
David Huntley (Indianapolis, IN, St. John's Northwestern Military Academy) rounds out the squad, a true diamond in the rough with much potential.
