The men's track and field team participated in its second meet at Fitchburg State University on Saturday and finished ninth in the 14 team field. Fanklin Pierce won the meet and was followed by host Fitchburg State and Hudson Valley CC. Scoring points for the Owls were Tyler Beach (Kennetcook, NS) in the javelin (4th place, 5 points), Paul Kaplan (Embden, ME) in the triple jump (6thplace, 3 points), and Andrew Hunt (Peterborough, NH) and Connor Hrynuk (Boonville, NY) in fifth (4 points) and sixth place (3 points), respectively, in the 3000m steeplechase.
Hunt's 3000m steeplechase time of 10:59.94 set the school record by over 14 seconds. Personal best marks were set by Matthew Payan (Auburn, NH) in the discus at 25.26m/82-10 and by Kyle Davis in the 1500m with his time of 4:50.02.
