Waterville, ME – The UMPI Owls men's soccer team traveled to Thomas College to play in a North Atlantic Conference divisional game. The number one team in the conference came away with the win, 6-0. This advances the Terriers to 7-1 in the NAC, while UMPI is 1-7 in the conference.
Kobe West (Limestone, ME) started in goal for the Owls, playing the first 19 and a half minutes of the game. Keith Mank (Raymond, ME) finished the game out for the Owls, playing the remaining 70 minutes. The Owls finished the game with 10 shots on goal, 11 shots, while the Terriers finished with 30 shots, 21 on goal.
The Terriers came out of the gate aggressive with a goal just under the second minute of the game. Scoring their second goal in the 19th minute. The Owls held off the Terriers scoring the remainder of the first half, as they went into halftime down 2-0. The Second half was more Terriers as they scored four more goals in the second half. Scoring in the 52nd, 60th, 74th, and 89th minute.
The Owls will head to New Hampshire to play in a game vs Fisher College, the teams will play at a neutral site, at Rivier University at 3:00PM tomorrow.
