UMPI Men's Soccer Loses First Game in New York Trip

Cazenovia, NY – The UMPI Owls men's soccer team traveled to New York for their first North Atlantic Conference divisional crossover vs Cazenovia College Wildcats. The Owls lost the conference match, 4-0.

The Wildcats offense came out of the gate aggressive with 16 shots in the first half. Keith Mank (Raymond, ME) in goal for the Owls finished the first half with nine saves, before the Wildcats were able to put one in the back of the net in the 43rd minute. In the second half, the Wildcats put two more goals in the net just four minutes into the second half to bring their lead to three goals. In the 77th minute, Cazenovia was able to get another goal in the 77th minute.

The Owls finished the game with four shots, two of which were on goal. Cazenovia finished the 90-minute game with 24 shots, 13 on goal. Mank finished with nine saves in the 65 minutes played. Cameron Kelley (Calais, ME) finished the game in the goal for UMPI.
