Boaston, MA - The University of Maine at Presque isle Men's Soccer Team (2-2) dropped a 3 to 1 decision to Fisher College (1-1) on Saturday afternoon September 8th in Boston.
The Falcons were first to get on the scoreboard at the 15:45 mark in the opening half on a goal by Junior Forward Erick Kayongo, assisted by Freshman Forward Joel Bailey. Just six minutes later the Owls knotted the game at 1 to 1 on a score from Andre Rossignol (FR. Van Buren, ME). The Freshman tallied his 5th goal of the young season on a set piece.
Fisher then went ahead 2 to1 on an unassisted goal by Senior defenseman Andrew Leveillee at the 28:13 mark of the first half and the Falcons went into intermission with a 2 to 1 lead.
The score remained 2 to 1 until the 68:02 mark when Trevor Moschiano finished the scoring on an unassisted goal and the athletic Falcons kept the Owls, who were missing three starters, from mounting any threat late in the game.
UMPI returns to action Sunday September 9th at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA at 10:00AM.
