Men's Soccer Shutout on the Road

BOSTON, MA – For just the third time this season the University of Maine at Presque Isle Men's Soccer Team (4-10-1) got shut out, as they lost 3-0 to the Fisher Falcons (6-7) on Sunday afternoon.

Edson Bazil (SO, Pompano Beach, FL) would score in the 23rd minute and Tom Pugliese (SR, Saugus, CA) would sandwich two goals around the halftime break to account for the scoring for Fisher.  The Falcons would dominate possession throughout, collecting 38 shots in the afternoon, while UMPI could only produce five.  Matthew Manter (JR, Caribou, ME) would take the loss in goal, and collect nine saves for the Owls as he fought to keep the game close throughout.

The Owls will wrap up their regular season by travelling to their Aroostook County rival on Saturday.  The game at the University of Maine at Fort Kent is scheduled for a 2 PM start.  UMFK is ranked #1 in the week three USCAA Poll.
