(FREDRICTON, NB) --  One goal in each half was enough for St. Thomas University (Canada) to notch a victory over the visiting Owls of UMaine-Presque Isle on Thursday.  The loss drops UMPI to 2-1 on the young season.

"They are a strong team.  Very physical," said Owls' head coach Alan Gordon.  "we had a few chances to tie but just couldn't put one by their keeper."

The Owls next play in the team's home opener on Sunday, September 9th.  Berkeley (NY) College will be visit Park Field on the UMPI campus for a 12:00pm start.
