Canton, NY (10-1-11) -- The University of Maine Presque Isle men's soccer team traveled to SUNY-Canton this weekend where they lost a pair of games to the host Roos. Friday the Owls were shut out by the score of 4-0. On Saturday UMPI battled to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Canton.
UMPI drew first blood on Saturday when Jacob Paradis headed in a pass from Brandon Caverhill five minutes into the contest. The Owls held that 1-0 advantage until the 69th minute. The Roos however came charging back with two goals in the 2nd half to complete the weekend sweep. The loss drops UMPI to 2-7 on the season.
The Owls return home next Saturday, October 8th, to face Fisher College at 3pm.
