Men's Soccer Blanked by Thomas

WATERVILLE, Maine—Thomas College men's soccer team shut out the Owls of the University of Maine at Presque Isle 2-0 in a non-conference match up in Waterville on Sunday afternoon. The Terriers' Michael Hand scored two goals in the 2nd half after the two squads played to a scoreless tie at that break.

Owls' Goalkeeper Josh MacKinnon (So./Merigomish, NS) was able to maintain the scoreless first half despite facing 15 Terrier shots compared to 3 by UMPI.

Three minutes into the second half Hand scored the eventual game winning goal for the Terriers when he finished a pass from Mattias Schyberg. Hand added some insurance for the Terriers when he netted his second goal at 55th minute.

The Owls (3-9) return to action on October 22 when they travel to Fisher College for a 3 pm game.  UMPI defeated the Falcons back on 10/8 by a final score of 11-1.
