Owls Compete in 1st Day of NAC Championship

Waterville, Maine – The University of Maine at Presque Isle Men's Golf Team competed in Day 1 of the two-Day, 36 Hole, North Atlantic Conference Championship on Saturday at Waterville Country Club. A cold and constant drizzle fell on the golfers as (SUNY-Delhi) finished in the first spot after the opening 18 holes of play. (Thomas College ) sits in the 2nd spot and (Husson University) in the 3rd position going into Sunday's action.

For the Owls Collin Racine (So. Rutland, VT) had a Team Leading score of 47 on the front 9 holes and finished the day with a score of 94. Payton Jones (Fr. Green Cove Springs, FL) also, carded a 94 and Christian Mumley (Jr. Guilford, ME) added a 96 for UMPI.

Matt Pelletier of UMF, Jason Klevan of NVU-Johnson and Nolan Codd of SUNY-Canton all had the day's low round of Even Par (70).
