OWL GOLFERS CAP A GREAT SEASON BY WINNING NECA TOURNAMENT

Maine-Presque Isle finished an outstanding 2014 season, winning the NECA Invitational tournament by one stroke over New Hampshire Technical Institute, scoring a collective 337.

NHTI's Zach Storro won the individual medalist honors with an 80 on the tough Penobscot Valley Country Club Course.  Eastern Maine finished third (341) and Maine-Augusta fourth (377).

Owl senior Reynold Brown capped a tremendous career by shooting an 82, taking third place individually.  The 2012 USCAA All-American won ten individual championships in his four year stint as an Owl.  This season the excellence continued, ending with a 76 scoring average, ranking him third in the USCAA and winning the medalist honors at both the UMPI Invitational and Maine Maritime Invitational.

Noah Bernard and Allen Conner were among 6 golfers tied for 6th place with 83's.  Sophomore Eric Depner finished in 14th place, with an 89 and Jordan Beaulier shot a 96 to round out the Owl Participants.

Head Coach Dan Hotham saw his golfers win 3 team championships this season (UMPI Invitational, Thomas College Invitational, Yankee Conference) and take second at two other tournaments with a 327.75 team average.
