(WATERVILLE, ME) --- The University of New England had the low team score in taking the Colby Classic on Saturday at Waterville Country Club.
The modified format was best ball, scramble, and alternate shot.
UNE's Andy Emery and Paul Butkevich had a 74 to lead the Nor'easters to the title with a score of 234. Colby was one shot back with a 235, University of Maine-Presque Isle finished third with a 237, and Maine Machias was last with a 267.

The UMPI men, coming off a record-setting score of 293 on Friday in winning their own invitational, followed up with another very strong performance at Colby.  The third place finish was accomplished thanks in part to stellar rounds from Reynold Brown (So./Essex, CT) and Mike Balmer (Jr./New Smyrna Beach, FL).  The Owls tandem each shot 75's, the 2nd best individual scores at the event.

The Owls will finish up their stretch of 72 holes of golf in 3 days at the UMaine-Machias Invite tomorrow, September 9th.
