Bangor, ME – The University of Maine at Presque Isle Owls men's basketball team lost a close battle to the U-Maine Augusta Moose. After leading for the majority of the game, the Owls would eventually fall 67-65.
The Owls came out strong in the first half taking care of the basketball and hitting shots early in the game. The Owls defense would also help to keep the lead throughout the first half. Bringing their lead up to double digits in many different points in the first, eventually leading 39-32 going into halftime.
The Moose would come out of the second half with aggressive defense causing many turnovers for the Owls. UMPI would sustain the lead for the majority of the second half, despite the defense of the Moose.
