Farmington, ME – The UMPI men's basketball team played their second game of the double header weekend vs University of Maine at Farmington. The Owls would fall to the top ranked North Atlantic Conference team for the second game in a row, 98-78.
The Owls were unable to stop the Beavers as they scored 56 points in the first half. Highlighted by a 26-6 run to end the first half, led by Issac Witham's 13 first half points. Although the Owls would win the second half battle, 48-42, the lead was far too great for any comeback.
Griffin Guerrette (So. Presque Isle, ME) led all UMPI scorers with 18 points, 13 of which came in the second half. Te'Von Hines (Sr. Alexandria, VA) and Shyquinn Dix (Jr. Stamford, CT) both finished with ten points while Dix added four assists.
