Orange, CA – The University of Maine at Presque Isle men's basketball team traveled to California to play in two games during tier Thanksgiving break. The Owls played Chapman University in Orange, California, losing 79-40 behind a rough shooting day.

The Owls came out of the gate very slow as they found themselves down 8-0 to start the game. Staying close until the 10-minute mark when Chapman went on an 11-0 run to stretch the lead, going into halftime, up 37-15. The Panthers did not look back as they outscored the Owls by 17 in the second half.

Kj Minter (So. Elkton, MD) led the way for the Owls with 14 points on 7-13 from the field and six rebounds. DeAndre Duncombe (Jr. Port St. Lucie, FL) finished with 12 points off the bench, shooting 5-12 from the three. The Owls had a rough shooting day as they shot 32% from the field and only 15% from three.

The Owls will take on Whittier College at 2:00pm, 5:00pm eastern time.
