Lewiston, Maine --  Maine-Presque Isle could not overcome the twin brother duo of Marcus and Malcolm Delpeche, who led Bates College to a 78-53 victory Tuesday evening.

Marcus Delpeche scored a team-high 13, on 6-of-6 shooting and his 6'8 brother Malcolm added 10 points (on 5-of-5 shooting) and 6 rebounds to the Bates attack that led, 54-26 at halftime.

Chase Vicaire registered a game-high 15 points, freshman Sean Manganti had 11 and classmate Thiago Conceicao tallied 11 points and eight rebounds for the Blue & Gold.

Bates (10-7) captured a 25-10 edge just less than 10 minutes into the game with a pair of dunks from Marcus Delpeche highlighting the opening minutes.  The Owls could not trim the Bobcat lead under double figures the rest of the way.

The Owls (7-9) closed the game on a 17-2 spurt over the contest's final seven minutes with Manganti supplying eight of Maine-Presque Isle's points during the run.

The Blue & Gold return to action at Eastern Maine Community College Thursday at 8pm.  The Owls will be looking to avenge a recent 84-79 loss to EMCC.
