Owls Lose in First Home Game

Bangor, ME – The University of Maine at Presque Isle Owls took on Central Maine Community College in a single game at Husson University.  The Mustangs won big with a final score of 10-0 in eight innings.

The Mustangs exploded offensively with 13 hits earning them 10 runs.  Eric Hoogterp lead the Mustangs with a two run homer in the top of the eighth, along with a double and three RBI's on the game.  Jordi Valls also doubled in the game bringing in a run.

Matthew Tremble, Dalton Wing, Damien St. Pierre, Cody Dolloff, and Bryce Walker each also added an RBI on the game. 

The Owls struggled on the defensive end committing seven errors on the game going through four pitchers.

Valls earns the win on the mound, allowing only three hits with seven strikeouts.

The Owls will take on Pine Manor College in a doubleheader at U-Maine in Orono, this Friday; games are at 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. The games will be senior day for the five seniors on the team; celebration will begin at 1:15 PM.
