Coach Davis is very excited to be here and looks forward to another successful season with the Lady Owls. Her knowledge of the game and ability to work with and understand the needs of today's student-athlete is sure to be an asset to the program. "Surround yourself with excellence and you become excellent. This is the influence that I expect to bring to a determined and talented group of young athletes. My commitment to coaching the values of competition are to work hard, strive for excellence, to sacrifice to make the team better, and to assist these young women in becoming the best that they can be as a person, student, and athlete." Joy resides in Fort Fairfield, ME where she loves and lives all aspects of the great outdoors. Golfing, hiking, canoeing, mountain biking and fly fishing are some of the things that she enjoys in her leisure time. Joy is also an avid fly tyer.

The University of Maine Presque Isle welcomes Joy E. Davis as the Head Women's Softball Coach. This will be Joy's second year on the diamond with the Lady Owls. During the 2008-2009 seasons, she served as the Assistant Coach for the UMPI Women's Basketball and Softball teams. The 2009 Softball season proved to be a sucess as the Lady Owls finished first in the Sunrise Conference, earning a 2009 Regular Season Conference Championship. The team also won the Sunrise Conference Tournament, which sent them to an NAIA Regional Playoff in West Virginia.
