UMPI Baseball Hitting Cages Available for Rent

The University of Maine at Presque Isle Baseball and Softball teams are making their batting cages available for rent to the public.  Anyone interested in renting should contact Coach Leo Saucier for availability and scheduling.  All proceeds are used to help the teams with their expenses.

Rental Rates:

1 or 2 people.   $10.00 per hr. per person

3 to 5 people.   $ 5.00 per hr. per person

6 to 20 people. $5.00 per person.  Requires rental of both cages;  includes use of all hitting stations.

All rentals include instruction and assistance from UMPI players and coaches.

1 Day Pitching Clinic - March 16, 2010

6:00 - 9:00 p.m.

The UMPI Owls baseball team will be hosting a baseball pitching clinic on March 16th, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Wieden gymnasium.  Ages for this pitching clinic are 10 - 16 years old.  Does your child pitch or desire to pitch for their baseball team?  Well, this is the clinic for them.  This clinic will teach the basics of pitching mechanics.  Each athlete will receive personalized attention; the pitching motion will be captiured on video before and after instruction and made available to them.  The cost of this clinic is $30.00.  Please call coach Leo Saucier at 768.9421 to register and/or gather further information.

Christmas Break - 3 day Clinic

The UMPI Owls baseball team will be hosting a 3-day skills clinic during the Christmas holiday break. The clinic will take place on December 29, 30, and 31 from 1 - 4 p.m.  Boys and girls ages 7 - 14 are encouraged to pre-register; walk-in registration will be allowed only if space permits.  The cost of the 3-day event is $75.00 and an UMPI Baseball T-shirt is included with registration.  For more information or to pre-register by phone call coach Leo Saucier at 768-9421.
