Travis A Parent, MS, ATC, is the Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. He is a 2007 graduate of UMPI, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training. He earned All-Conference and All-Tournament team recognition as a member of the men’s soccer program. Parent would go on and earn his Master’s Degree in Exercise Science with a concentration of Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention through California University (PA).
He is both a Performance Enhancement and Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and is also certified through the National Association of Speed and Explosion. He is a certified instructor for the professional rescuer through the American Heart Association.
Parent previously served as Assistant Athletic Trainer at Oneonta State, a Division III institution where he has worked with many talented student-athletes. He worked closely with NCAA Division III All-Americans, conference champions, a Final Four Men’s Soccer team, and 5 NCAA National Champions.
Travis has been the Head Athletic Trainer for Lee Academy (2007-2009), the Oneonta Outlaws (2010), a baseball team in the NYCBL and at the National Soccer Hall of Fame providing coverage for the tournaments prior to closing in the Fall of 2009.
Parent resides in Presque Isle with his wife Elizabeth, and two sons Trai and Teddy.
